Appointment of New Director

EVOC is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Director

After more than 13 years managing and steering EVOC (Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations’ Council) and making an enormous contribution to the work of colleagues in the voluntary sector in Edinburgh and Scotland, Shulah Allan, our current Director, is due to retire in September this year. The EVOC Management Board is now delighted to announce the appointment of Ella Simpson to the post of Director.

Ella who is currently the Chief Executive of The Rock Trust brings extensive experience of the voluntary sector, strategic partnership working and the provision of quality care services for vulnerable people. She will be joining us at a time when the sector is faced with numerous challenging agendas and will ensure that our continuing commitment and support to organisations will be maintained and developed.

Ella will start her new role on 21 September 2009 and EVOC member organisations will have the opportunity to meet her and discuss her vision for EVOC’s future at the EVOC AGM in the Autumn. David A Bennett Convenor Management Board Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations’ Council
