SVQ Interest Group

This group is open to any organisation using or thinking about using SVQ's. It is particularly useful to Assessors; I.V's; Training officers and staff with a training remit. We also welcome representatives from FE; Voluntary and Independent Training Providers and partners from Health and Social Care; NHS; Children and Families and Services for Communities.

The aim is to discuss and share information on Care SVQ's. Attendance at this meeting contributes to your learning/continuous professional development. At this meeting we sometimes invite speakers and you set the agenda on the day with networking time built in!

 

The EVOC Partnership Care Learning Network

This meeting is for managers with a learning and development remit and encompasses registration and regulation matters and national initiatives such as Caring for Practice - Induction; CPD; Performance Management; Full Cost Recovery; Qualifications etc

The emphasis of these meetings is on partnership. The aim is not to re invent the wheel more to share and discuss care learning and development and where ever possible develop partnerships both informal and formal. At every meeting there is time for networking and discussion and we are joined by representatives from FE; OU; Voluntary and Independent Training Providers; NHS; Health and Social Care; Children and Families and Services for Communities; SE learning Network

Discussions have focussed on – Recruitment ;retention and pre employment initiatives; POVA & POVC; ILA's update and how to register as a provider; SQA standardisation and other issues; Preparing for Practice - exploring Induction, Recruitment and Selection; Managing Critical Incidents; Managing Performance and Appraisal; Supporting Front Line Staff Seminar; Risk Assessment and Lone Working Information Session; Sickness Absence Management Project (SAM); Induction and Continued Professional Development Portfolio of Evidence; Quality improvement of Learning and Development; Quality Assurance in Staff learning and Development in meeting Care Standards; Consultation on Qualification Requirements for Phase two Registration with SSSC; Consultation on SSSC Core Minimum Data Set; Employment Law Seminar; Partnership TNA Workshop; Dyslexia at Work; Seminar Safe and Healthy.
