Supervising Staff in the Personal Social Services

9.15 - 3.15 six teaching days and one day to work on written work.

Description

This a Higher National unit and is designed to provide an understanding of supervision within social care and the personal social services. You will look at systems and models of supervision and the processes involved. You will identify and use models appropriate to your own workplace. You will look at and develop a range of interpersonal and supervision skils . Thorughout the course you will be encouraged to apply your learning to your own practice as a supervisor and to reflect on your own work with supervisees. It provides management training and would contribute to CPD.

Pre-requisites

Need to be currently supervising staff or students and to be qualified to HN / SVQ 3 or equivalent
