Training for trainers

Monday, September 20, 2010
10-4 pm

Description

. The course offers an opportunity to consider different aspects of training including:

• Models of practice – different approaches to training
• The learning state – getting people motivated to learn
• Learning styles – different ways that people learn
• Training design – using training methods that work
• Dealing with group dynamics – managing difficulties

Our courses give you space and time to: -
• Think, share and gain new knowledge and skills
• Learn from each other
• Build supportive networks and aid communication
• Receive facilitated professional peer support
• Critically reflect on your own work practice
• Gain a critical distance from the pressures of day to day work

Participants from our most recent course said:
– Good atmosphere was created to make us feel comfortable
– Games were good fun and demonstrated the topics being discussed well
– The theoretical part was not too long but helpful to explore
– Gave me ideas for exercises and helped me think of how to structure a training programme
– Good handouts, food for thought, lots of ideas to take away and practice – it will help me to deliver new training modules at work
