South East Scotland Workforce Development Project (SESWDP)

The South East Scotland Workforce Development Project runs from April 2009 till March 2011.Working with its partners the Voluntary Sector Social Services Workforce Unit and with the Scottish Social Services Learning Network South East, EVOC will deliver a support and development programme for theCouncils of Voluntary service in South East Scotland (Lothians and Borders) and their constituent organisations.

The Workforce Development Officer will provide specialist knowledge in workforce development; act as a resource to CVS staff across Edinburgh, Lothians and Borders and in some additional areas subject to project capacity. This work will include working with established networks, encouraging and developing active engagement in workforce development and supporting organisations to use the ETNA.

Care Exchange

A free resource search facility for finding training and organisations offering expertise in care. Used by managers & care workers to search for learning opportunities and organisations providing care expertise. The aim is to market and promoteshared resources. Care Organisations and Training providers are invited to contribute to this free of charge.

EVOC Training Needs Analyser

ETNA is an online training needs analysis tool designed to assist care providers to meet SSSC registration requirements and manage mandatory & non accredited learning for individuals, teams and services. ETNA is offered free to local SME Voluntary providers in East, West, Midlothian; Scottish Borders & Edinburgh funded by theBig lottery. Support is provided to all new users.
